The Trango Cinch is a locking-assisted, single rope belay device. It is simple to use and offers a secure belay on a wide range of single ropes.
On smaller diameter ropes, or when holding falls that generate extremely high loads (in excess of factor 1) the Cinch acts dynamically as the cam squeezes the rope, assisting in holding a fall and reducing shock loads to the belay system.
In addition, it will release easily and pay out the rope smoothly while you're rappelling or lowering off.
