The La Sportiva Skwama is a super-sensitive climbing shoe, excelling in delicate, technical climbing and steep overhangs. Designed for performance, the Skwama is extremely flexible thanks to the new construction of the sole, which encourages an amount of "spread" on the rock.

The suede, leather and micro-fibre uppers perfectly wrap-around the foot, eliminating rigid areas and internal voids. This additionally promotes stability in torsion, thanks to the innovative patented shell S-Heel. The S-Heel technology maintains stability, accentuating the performance and the adaptability of the shoe during heel hooks. Over the toe is a shield of rubber, which helps protect against abrasion and forms a grippy surface for toe hooks. The Vibram XS-Grip2 sole provides maximum grip on any type of wall. Skwama: it fits like a skin, it protects like the scale of a snake.

The construction method combines the advantages of the all-round snugness of a slipper and the precision and volume control of a Velcro closure shoe, creating maximum sensitivity and precision even in torsion; the shoe perfectly follows the movements of the climber, eliminating empty space and rigid zones within.

Bought a pair of Skwamas after having used the Solutions for years. They're slightly softer and wider. They're amazing right out of the box and don't need much breaking in. Pretty much an around shoe for any types of steep bouldering. I swap between these and the solutions
The Skwama is amazing. You have so much feel through the toe without the shoe being uncomfortable. I found that the skwama comes up a little big compared to other aggressive sportiva shoes so I'd recommend going half a size down than normal. They feel broken in straight out the box and will be using again when these wear through!
10/10. I have been using the Skwama's bouldering and they're amazing. The rubber toe cap really hooks and the heel hooks are perfect.
